Meerut : Deepak ‘ Boxer ‘ , one of the most wanted fugitives in the country who was brought to India from Maxi co by Delhi police on Wednesday , has been booked in UP’s Moradabad in con section with a fake passport case . UP police constable , Ajith Singh , has also been sus pended for conducting wrong police verification of the gangster’s credentials in 2022 which led to the is issuance of the passport .
” The fake passport was made by one Deepak Phaal alias Boxer in Moradabad’s Chalet police station in the name of Ravi Antic . The con stable who was involved in the false verification has been suspended and an in query set up against him , ” said SSP ( Moradabad ) Hem raj Meena .
As per the FIR filed in Chalet police station , the verification was done on December 12 last year . Two days later , the document was is sued from the Bareilly pass port office based on which the gangster fled the country in early January . The wanted criminal has now been booked under IPC sections 420 , 467 , 468 , 471 ( using forged documents as genu in ) , 120B and Passport Act 1967 , police said . Deepak , a resident of Gangapur in Sony pat district and leader of the Gigi gang , was involved in several crimes in NCR .
