Dehradun : The Army Welfare Placement Organisation ( AW PO ) , under the headquarters of the Army’s Uttarakhand sub – area , on Monday organised a ‘ roar meal ‘ ( job fair ) to provide job opportunities for the veterans , war widows and their dependents at a private institute in Gargi Canton mint area .
The public relation office , defence ( Dehradun ) , while sharing information about the event in a press release , stated that it was inaugurated by Maj Gen Sanjeev Khatri , the General Officer Commanding ( GOC ) of Uttarakhand Sub – Area in presence of other senior serving and retired army officers .
It added , ” The event was at tended by around 700 veterans and their dependents along with 26 companies from vary
oust sectors , including banks , insurance , pharmaceutical , conservancy services , security agencies and others . The Apo would continue to organise such events in the future also . “
