New Delhi: Showcased by Congress for the boycott of the legislature party meeting in Jaipur, two Rajasthan leaders are learned to have told the leadership that they are disciplined soldiers of the party and loyal to the high command.
Senior minister Shanti Dhariwal and RTDC chairman Rajendra Rathore have replied to the notices, while minister Mahesh Joshi is still to respond.
Dhariwal is said to have argued that he is a disciplined soldier of the party and he cannot imagine disobeying the leadership. He is said to have denied a role in the boycott of the legislature party meeting. The senior minister, instead, has reportedly argued that there was anger among the MLAS that a member of the group that rebelled in mid – 2020 could be made the CM in place of Ashok Gehlot who was then being considered for the AICC president’s post. Congress was rocked by rebellion when MLAS in Jaipur failed to turn up for the legislature party meeting called by observers Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken on September 25.
In an informal gathering at Dhariwal’s residence, they opposed the possibility of Sachin Pilot being made the CM, and also accused Maken of taking sides.
