Rain , snow in offing in parts of U’khand on March 13-14

Dehradun : A fresh spell of rain and snowfall is likely to hit parts of hill districts in Uttarakhand on March 13 and 14 , according to the latest forecast issued by the regional meteorological centre on Friday .

Very light to light rain , thunderstorm or snowfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi , Rudraprayag , Chamoli , Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts of the state , the Met office said . High altitude places in the above – mentioned districts , situated at a height of 3,500m and above , are likely to receive fresh bouts of snowfall at the start of the next week , said Bikram Singh , director of regional meteorological centre .

Besides , a yellow alert has also been issued for thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and hail at isolated places in the hill districts on March 14.
