Agra : Ahead of civic polls in Uttar Pradesh to be held in May this year , as many as 128 Samajwadi Party ( SP ) workers and leaders of the local SP unit in Muzaffarnagar gar tendered their resign tins from the party on Fri day alleging bias against them .

The leaders included for me general secretary ADVO cate Shelagh Gupta , former vice president Janardan Vishwakarma , and former metropolitan treasurer Vial Jain among other party members . In their resignation letter , they complained of being ignored by the state’s leadership .

Speaking on this , Shelagh Gupta ” We convened a meeting at our office in Saddar Bazar and unanimously came to this decision . The active workers of the party are completely being ignored by the senior leadership and unilateral policies are being followed in the party . So , we decided to offer our resignations . “
