K ‘taka CM files papers , declares assets worth 50cr

Haveri : Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bombay and his dependents have assets worth R 52.1 crore , according to the election affidavit attached to his first set of nomination papers filed from Shogaol assembly constituency , which he has been representing since 2008 .

BOMA has assets worth R 49.7 crore in his name . The affidavit reveals that helper chased nearly three acres of land in Trehala village in Hubbell taluk of Dharwad as CM on March 26 , 2022. Both his wife Chinampa and daughter Aditi have invested over R 1.1 crore each .

Since his son Bharat is not de pendent on him , his investment de tails have not been mentioned . How ever , the CM has given R 14.7 lakh to his son . Before filing the papers , he visited Shri Siddhartha Mutt in Hubbell and then offered a special puja at Shivani Damages Devi temple .

Bombay was accompanied by Bharat , public works minister CC Patel , Haveri – Gad ag MP Sharaku marugas and others . After filing his papers , the CM expressed confidence in getting elected again with the highest number of votes . ” People in my constituency have supported me wholeheartedly in the past , and this time too , I’m confident of breaking all records , Bombay said .

Bombay had won from Shogaol in 2018 by a margin of 9,260 votes .

The CM said he submitted the first set of nomination papers on Saturday as it was an auspicious time and will file them again on April 19 in the presence of BJP national president JP Nada and other senior party functionaries .
