Locals thereafter protested on the road, seeking immediate action against the cops who had “misbehaved ” with Kumar.
SSP Aligarh Kalanidhi Naithani, who had ordered a probe, removed SHO DK Sisodi ya and SI Manoj Chaudhry posted at Delhi Gate police station and attached them to Police Lines on Tuesday night.

His mother said, ” Instead of tracing Putima, police started harassing us on the pretext of inquiry. They didn’t take any action after the complaint. I was also thrashed by a female cop. Strangely, they are treating Gulabo as a victim. “
She added, ” Police, a week ago, again picked Kumar and tortured him. They came to our house to harass my family. Repeatedly humiliated and tortured, Kumar hanged himself in his room on Diwali night soon after puja. “
