Nainital : The Uttarak hand high court , while hearing a petition alleging 60 % hotels in Missouri and 90 % hotels in Dehra dun are operating without mandatory consent under the Water Act from the state pollution control board ( PCB ) , issued notices to the chief secretary , Missouri Dehradun Development Authority ( MDDA ) , and the Uttarakhand PCB on Wednesday , asking them to file their affidavits in the matter within three weeks .
The court also sought a reply from the Missouri municipality , Uttarakhand Jal Sans than and the Ministry of Environment , Forest & Climate Change ( Mock ) in the matter . “
Since 2010 , Missouri municipality has not developed any park or green belt . This is despite the fact that the tourist place receives volumes of traffic and tourists and has undergone massive land degrade tin , ” claimed Akash Vat Ishtar , the petitioner .
The town is battling severe water scarcity due to dried springs and other water resources , he added .
The court directed the state government and the concerned departments to look into the claims with out any further orders from the court and take necessary and corrective steps .
