Shimla : A court in Uttar Pradesh’s Aroha has directed the Naugawan Sadat police station to register a case against a woman and her unidentified accomplices for allegedly honey trapping a busy newsman and trying to extort R 50 lakh from him by ” threatening to file a rape case against him if he did not pay up . ‘
” The complainant , Mohr Aric , said on Friday , ” My younger brother was recently honey – trapped and was forced to pay R 15 lakh . I also started getting calls from a woman who identified herself as ‘ Bushra ‘ and demanded R 50 lakh . “
Aric said , ” When police refused to file an FIR in the matter , I approached the court last month , and the court directed the Naugawan Sadat police station to file a case against the woman and her aides . “
SHO of Naugawan Sadat , Shan’t Kumar , said , ” We have started investigating the matter in compliance with the court order , and will reveal the names of all the accused only after completing the probe . ” Further investigation is under way in the matter , the SHO added .
