Dehradun : The high court on Wednesday ordered the trans fir of dreaded criminal Praveen Valmiki from Uttara hand to a jail in another state .
The court found that Valmiki was running his gang from Haridwar Jail along with the kingpin and another dreaded criminal Sunil Rather .
Significantly , in November last year , Rather was shifted from Bagh pat in UP to Haridwar Jail and a few days later , Valmiki was brought to Haridwar from Chamois Jail .
The HC passed the order after hearing a petition filed by Haridwar resident Rajpal Singh , who stated that Valmiki had demanded R five lakh from him and allegedly threatened him of dracones sequences if the extortion money was not paid .
Singh had sought protection for his life from the court . Taking the matter very seriously , the court ordered the government to shift Valmiki to another jail outside the state .
