New Delhi : The Delhi high court Monday asked the Centre to respond to a plea that seeks linking of immovable and movable property documents to their owners ‘ Aadhaar numbers and contends this will curb corruption , black money generation and ‘ Benaim ‘ transactions .
A bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Yashwant Varma remarked that ” it a good matter , let replies come ” . It granted four weeks to the ministries of finance , law , housing and rural development to file their re sponsor and listed the matter for July 18 .

Petitioner and lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay argued that it is the duty of the Centre to take steps to curb corruption and seize ‘ Benaim ‘ properties to send a strong message that the government is determined to fight corruption and black money .
