The probe, conducted by DSP Ram Niwas Singh in June 2019, revealed that five fake cases were registered by an inspector against Awdhesh Kumar under various sections of IPC, including 307 ( attempt to murder ) and 354 ( assault to woman with intent to outrage her modesty ), and sections of the arms and excise acts.

According to the victim’s complaint, the accused cop arbitrarily registered FIRS as part of a criminal conspiracy involving local politicians. Following a flawed investigation done on the basis of fake evidence, senior police officials and the court were misled, the victim claimed.

Now, an FIR was finally registered against the inspector and an unknown person under IPC sections 418 (cheating with knowledge of wrongful loss ), 166 ( public servant disobeying law ), 167 ( framing an incorrect document), 193 ( false evidence ), and 120B ( criminal conspiracy ).
