Dehradun : Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the ongoing works at Kedarnath on Tuesday and directed the authorities to ensure night-stay facilities for around 20k devotees. At present, there is a night halt facility for around 8,000 pilgrims at Kedarnath. Considering that the revered shrine has witnessed an unprecedented turnout of devotees this year and the number might increase in the future, the CM stressed the need to increase the night stay facility near the shrine.

Currently, under the second phase, the development works are on at Kedarnath. After interacting with district magistrate Mayur Dixit and other officials, CM Dhami said that ” We have set December 2023 as the deadline to complete the ongoing projects at Kedarnath. At Badrinath, too, we are aiming to finish the development work at the earliest.
