Dehradun : On the occasion of World Toilet Day on Saturday, a fresh initiative was launched which aims to provide clean and hygienic washrooms at retail outlets route to popular national parks including Rajaji, Kanha, Tadoba, Bandhavgarh, Pench, Sunderbans, Manas, Rantham bore and others. ” Enhanced convenience under an initiative such as this will contribute towards Swachh Bharat and also promote tourism. We need to ensure regular maintenance and upgradation as well, ” said Hardeep Singh Puri, minister of petroleum and natural gas, who launched the initiative.
The initiative was inaugurated at a fuel station at Raiwala, which was the only retail outlet in Uttarakhand to be selected under this project. Officials also emphasized the need for the provision of fresh, clean, and state-of-the-art toilets, especially along the Char Dham Yatra route.
The Drive Fresh project initiated under the aegis of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahot sav campaign seeks to enhance the convenience of tourists and travelers in order to provide an enhanced customer experience. About 191 toilets were inaugurated across the nation under this initiative.
