Dhradun : On Wednesday, the CISF in collaboration with the quick response team of the aviation security group ( ASG ) carried out a mock drill at Jolly Grant airport and defused an explosive after detecting it with the help of sniffer dogs. Deputy commandant of CISF VV Gautam said, ” The aim of checking and removing the shortcomings in the cognizance of security, communication and coordination standards
made to deal with the emergency situation of the bomb threat. ” The BTMD started at 10 am and lasted till 11.35 am and no flight hammered during the drive. A total of 116 airport staff and security personnel of paramilitary forces including 59 CISF jawans, 23 BDDS and police personnel, 7 SDRF jawans, and one dog squad were among others participating in the drill.
