Prayagraj : Days after jailed former MP and mafia don Atiq Ahmad praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, calling him ” brave, honest and hard-working “, his wife Shaista Parveen on Friday claimed to have written an open letter to the CM, seeking time to meet him to narrate her woes. She also demanded that the CM should set up a high-level probe to find out the reasons why her son Ali was arrested and ensure action against officials who were responsible for it.

Extending Diwali greetings to the CM, Parveen says in her letter that she made up her mind to meet the CM after her husband praised him. Claiming her to be a Pasmanda Muslim, she said her husband told her that Yogi Ji’never works under pressure. ” We know that Yogi Ji is the biggest face of Hindutva. We request him to give us time without any discrimination and pressure, ” she has written.

Parveen said, ” We have no grudges against the Yogi-led state government though it has taken many stringent actions against us. The BJP government is working on its agenda and ‘ Hindu – Muslim policy. “

However, she didn’t elaborate on this. ” Thave a simple complaint that my adolescent children, pursuing their education, are being targeted and sent behind the bars without any reason, ” she asserted.

She also leveled charges against senior police officers, accusing them of framing false charges against her 18-year-old son Ali, who she claimed was planning to get admission in a five-year law course in a university after completing intermediate.

” Police officers have not only lodged false cases against him but also announced a cash reward and arrested him. Police are planning to slap Gangster Act against my son, ” she claimed.

Seeking the CM’s intervention, Parveen has demanded the setting up of a high-level probe to find out why her son was sent behind the bars.

” If Yogi Ji is honest, why is my innocent son cooling heels behind the bars, ” asked Parveen, adding, ” Please find out the names of those persons who had hatched the conspiracy to get fake criminal cases registered against my son, ” she added in the letter.

Parveen said, ” The situation is so bad in the district that when anyone goes to a police station to get his or her FIR registered, cops often ask complainants to include the names of Atiq’s children as accused to get their FIR registered. “

Atiq’s wife also accused the district administration and police of getting fake cases registered against her son only to ” please the chief minister “.
