Dehradun : With just three days left for the Char Dham yatra to start , final preparations are un doorway at the four shrine towns . Gangotri , whose portals are set to open on April 22 along with Ya muntrie , marking the begin- Ning of the yatra , witnessed snowfall and rain on Wednesday and the weather conditions changed in the three other drams as well .
To ensure all safety measures are in place , the government will conduct a mock drill on April 20 , officials said . A control room is being set up at Joshi math too . Meanwhile , the booking for chopper tickets to Kedarnath is full till May 2 .
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dham said , ” Our prepay rations are in place . We have held several meetings to ensure that the pilgrims do not face any issues during their yatra . Currently , around 15 lakh registrar tins have happened . We expect the pilgrim footfall to go beyond 50 lakh this year . ” On the issue of black – marketing of Heli tickets for Kedarnath yatra , chief secretary SS Sandhu said that the cyber cell teams are keeping an eye and also frequently checking the internet to find out if anyone was involved in the illegal process . ” Our planning is better com pared to last year . Cases will be registered and strong action will be taken against people involved in black – marketing of helicopter tickets , ” he said .
