Dehradun : A day after nine accused were granted – bail in the UKSSSC 2021 paper leak case, the owner of a Lucknow-based printing press, Rajesh Kumar, allegedly responsible for leaking question papers in the VPDO exam held by UKSSSC in 2016, managed to get bail. The firm is also accused of leaking the papers in the 2021 exam. The STF is probing both cases.
While granting bail to Kumar, the special vigilance court of additional sessions judge Brijendra – Singh stated in his order that the accused ( Rajesh Kumar ) was not named in the initial FIR and that no evidence was produced to prove that he had directly or indirectly received money from applicants.
In the 2016 scam, the vigilance department lodged an FIR in 2020. The same ex-am was held again in 2021 and this time too, the paper was leaked, allegedly by employees of the Lucknow firm, RMS Technosolution ( India ) Pvt Ltd.
On October 8, 2022, STF arrested three people, including the UKSSSC ex-chairman RBS Rawat, former examination controller RS Pokhriyai, and secretary Manohar Kanyal Notably, of the 12 arrests made so far by STF in the 2021 UKSSSC paper leak scam 18 have been granted bail for lack of proper evidence.
