Prayagraj : A three – member Special Investigation Team ( SIT ) set up by Prayagraj police commissioner will probe the killing of Atif Ahmed and his brother Khalid Azeem alias Ashraf . The team will comprise additional DCP Satish Chandra , ACP Satyendra Prasad Tiwari and inspector Kotwal police station , Om Prakash .
Meanwhile , DGP RK Vishwakarma has constituted a three – member supervisory team which will assist the SIT in time – bound investigation . It is headed by ADG , Prayagraj zone , Bhanu Bhaskar . The other members are Prayagraj police commissioner Remit Sharma and Forensic Science Lab director Sudhir Kumar . While Sharma will head the in investigation into the killings , Bhaskar and Kumar will supervises evidence collection and administrative aspects of the probe .
The DGP has directed officials to conduct inspection , super mission and management of the investigations with collect tin of physical , forensic and circumstantial evidence along with collection of digital , tech nicely and scientific evidence . A senior officer at DGP head quarters said the supervisory team will also look into all le gal aspects such as writs sub mitted in the courts in connect tin with the murder of Atif and Ashraf .
Bhaskar is known for imp peccable investigations and has served as joint director of CBI in Patna and oversaw the probe of abuse of inmates in shelter homes of Bihar . Bhaskar told a scientific in visitation will be conducted and if need arises then crime scene will be recreated . ” We will ensure collection of physical , biological , forensic and circumstantial evidence by the SIT team along with video graph . The statements of all required persons would be re corded , ” he added . On Sunday , the UP government had set up a three – member judicial com mission headed by retired HC judge Arvind Kumar Tripathi .
The other two members are re tired judge Brijesh Kumar Sony and former DGP Subash Ku mar Singh .
