Varanasi : District judge Ajay Krishna Vishxesha on Monday accepted the plea of four women plaintiffs seeking transfer of seven cases related to Gyanvapi from various courts to his court . “
The district judge on Monday ordered to transfer seven cases related to Gyanvapi to his court by accepting the plea of plaintiffs 2 to 5 ( Laxmi De vi , Site Sahoo , Manju Vyas and Rekha Pathak ) in suit no . 18/2022 , ” district government counsel ( civil ) Mahindra Prasad Pandey on Mon day . In all these seven pleas , petitioners are seeking regular worship of Stringer Gauri and other deities in the Gyanvapi mosque compound . “

In his order , the district judge has mentioned that the cases would now be examined to know the relevancy of their consolidation , ” said Pandey , adding that the next hearing in the case would take place on April 21. Vishnu Shankar Jain , the lawyer of four women plaintiffs had moved an application on December 5 , 2022 , seeking transfer of the seven cases pending in different courts to the district judge’s court .
In the application , Jain had mentioned that the seven cases pending in the court of civil judge ( senior division ) and one in the fast division ) track court of the civil judge ( senior are of similar nature , hence if they were tried together to save time and money .
